At present, there are three main methods for pellet roasting: shaft furnace roasting, traveling grate roasting, and grate-rotary kiln roasting. With the development of pelletizing technology, the scope has expanded from processing iron ore concentrate only to various iron-containing raw materials. Meanwhile, production scale and operations have moved toward large-scale, mechanized, and automated processes. This trend places increasingly higher demands on the supporting refractory solutions and quality required by pelletizing processes.
