Special High Grade SiC-Mullite Brick

【Product brand】TD-HSM
【Recommended use】Cooling Zone & Upper Transition Zone of Rotary Kiln
Product Introduction
The Speicial High Grade SiC-Mullite Brick (TD-HSM) is a new high-performance, low thermal-conductivity product developed to meet the specific process requirements of the transition zone in cement kilns. This product can replace magnesia-alumina spinel bricks, reducing cylinder temperature and load while extending service life to over 18 months.
Plastic Phase Toughening: The introduction of a metallic plastic phase preferentially oxidizes to seal pores, reducing porosity, and softens at high temperatures to enhance the material’s high-temperature toughness.
Low Porosity: With porosity below 16%, it improves resistance to sulfur and alkali erosion.
Excellent High-Temperature Performance: The refractoriness under load reaches 1700°C, comparable to magnesia-alumina spinel bricks and significantly better than ordinary SiC-mullite bricks.
Thermal Conductivity (1000°C): 2.0 W/(m·K), similar to ordinary SiC-mullite bricks but significantly lower than magnesia-alumina spinel bricks at 2.8 W/(m·K).
