New Low-expansion Castable for Burner Pipe AS-B

【Product brand】AS-B
【Recommended use】Burner Pipe
Product Introduction
The New Low-expansion Castable for Burner Pipe AS-B uses andalusite and silicon carbide as primary raw materials, with ultra-fine powder added to the matrix. The high reactivity of the ultra-fine powder enables the material to begin sintering at lower temperatures, ensuring high mechanical strength from the high-temperature surface to the low-temperature cylinder body. Under high-temperature conditions, silicon carbide on the surface of the burner pipe oxidizes to form a thin SiO₂ film, sealing the surface pores of the refractory material. The amorphous SiO₂ can also absorb alkali metal oxides, forming a high-viscosity glass phase that further enhances the refractory material’s resistance to erosion and penetration. The material maintains high modulus of rupture under medium to high temperatures, and the incorporation of high-hardness silicon carbide significantly improves the castable’s wear resistance, effectively resisting abrasion from high-speed fly ash.
